This old world gown was entirely inspired by little dresses my grandmother used to make for me. I remember how she worked down from the yoke and used fancy fan stitches. This Christening gown is worked in the same thread lace fashion, moving from the geometric joke to more playful shells and flowers. It features a generous shell and picot trim on the neck, sleeves and hem line. Twisted cords enhance the sleeves and waist line. The back features a deep 2 button placket for ease in dressing. The gown has a washable cotton/polyester lining with a wide lace trim.
