Biltmore Flowers and Bruge Lace Christening Gown

This Christening  gown in the Biltmore tradition of European style is created from the bottom up in Bruge Lace, Broomstick lace and a French floral pattern. The hem incorporates the 7″ deep border of Bruge lace, which originated in Belgium and is traditionally worked with wooden bobbins, recreated here in spiral crochet waves trimmed with picots. The Broomstick lace repeats on the upper part of the sleeve and picots finish the sleeve hem. The look is completed with twisted ties for waist and sleeves.
